Factory records
How to get build details
The Stag Owners Club holds the factory build records for the Triumph Stag and can supply a certificate of build for individual cars. To request details you will typically need the commission number from the car's identification plate (located on the scuttle/bulkhead, passenger side, under the bonnet) and proof of ownership.
A build certificate is the authoritative way to confirm the original paint colour, trim, engine number, transmission and other factory details. It is especially useful when verifying a car before purchase or when planning a restoration to original specification.
This site does not hold factory records. For a build certificate, contact the Stag Owners Club directly.
